Digital Alarms are standard with most of the Multicom ICS systems. However, for existing systems of the common talk line of ICS where Digital General alarm is optional, Multicom provides our Digital General Alarm System as a standalone system. Most older vessels can also be retrofitted with a Multicom Digital General Alarm and immediately enjoy savings and better alarm quality in the first year of operation.

Benefits

As an option to the Voyager or Explorer ICS system, we offer the voice evacuation module. This system will direct your passengers away from any emergency (fire, smoke, etc.) to their stations – while warning them to pay attention to the crew’s instructions and/ put on their life jackets.

This system is completely automatic as far as sensing where the emergency is and determining the best route away from the emergency. The system can be configured to be:

1. Completely automatic and the messages begin once the emergency is detected
2. Set up to wait 5 minutes to wait for the captain or crew to determine the extent of the emergency and over-ride the announcements starting automatically. 3. Kept totally manual to where the captain starts the announcements at the time they feel is proper – freeing the captain up from directing passengers and crew to safety.

The voice is professional and calming, which helps in maintaining order among the passenger. It will automatically determine the safest route to get passengers away from any danger areas by sensing the heat or smoke areas from the fire panel. The system will determine the proper message for each zone and each deck of the vessel to guide everyone to safety.
