The Explorer ICS system is Multicom's most
powerful integrated communication and entertainment system — fully digital for
and operated with custom control panels and devices to provide unique solutions
large-scale operations such as riverboat casinos, military vessels and cruise
ships. Along with all the standard features of the Voyager ICS, the Explorer
adds a fully digital entertainment system with safety integration. All the
entertainment needs of a Crusoe ship, station, or military vessel can be controlled
with the Explorer. The Explorer touch panels can be mounted anywhere on the
vessel that you wish control. Additional paging and/or zonal control stations
can be added throughout the vessel for local limited control. The Explorer
can also integrate into most existing sound or video systems offering central
control and local control to most systems while adding additional functions.
The Explorer ICS system replaces dozens of separately installed
systems and saves money on equipment and installation.
The Explorer ICS is the communication and

Optional Modules
 Base System:
The Explorer ICS Includes all vessel wide public address,
multiple zoned channels of music, and general alarm features. It also has
multiple channels of announcements, both timed and triggered. The Explorer
ICS base system also comes with multiple alarm and alert capabilities.
Telephone Module
Can be used for vessel wide standard telephone functions

Fire Panel
Available in many configurations to meet your vessels specific
needs. Full integration with the pilot panel allows for easy viewing and
quick reaction to alarms. The operator may read the alarm location, silence
the alarm, direct the public address system to that area, and/or play prerecorded
safety messages in affected and nonaffected zones for fast safety response.
Foghorn Module
Set for one or two minute automatic use. Can be overridden
and used manually as well.
Loudhailer Module
For hailing other vessels or land. Can be heard for miles!
Utilizes the same microphone already in the system for ease of use.
Pre- Programmed Announcement Module
For safety or standard announcements - all announcements
can be stored digitally and played back at the touch of a button. A purser
or tour guide panel may be added optionally as well.
Paging Station
Remote paging station for locations outside the pilot house.
Suitable for public areas and may be secured with a code.
Additional Alarm Module
When more alarms or independent alarms are needed this module
will expand your alarm capability to an almost unlimited number. Can be programmed
for your special alarms or alerts.
Cell Phone Module
Will route outside calls to a cell whenever available for
lower cost of transmission. Seamless with the telephone. Can be protected
for authorized use only. Can also be used to transmit computer data as well.
Entertainment Video Module
Multiple channels of television at sea. This system comes
in two versions: one for vessels within the satellite footprint, and another
for vessels outside of the satellite footprint. This system can be used on
any passenger or crew carrying vessel, and is scalable from one to hundreds
of cabins.
In Cabin Music/Communications System
The in-cabin interface for your music and entertainment
system. A modular design lets you add as many features as you need for your
cabins .Each cabin system can be configured for multiple video inputs, telephone,
and nurse call. The entertainment system may be configured for speakers or
for headphones in each crew or passenger cabin.
