Command Talkback CT10

Architect Specifications

The vessel shall have a system for communicating throughout the interior and exterior of the vessel. The system shall be housed in or directly adjacent to the pilot house with controls permanently installed at the pilot console. The system shall be capable of one way announcements to all manned spaces, as well as two way communications to four areas of the vessel. The System shall be a Multicom Command Talkback CT10 (with) (options and extras inserted here)

BASIC UNIT ONLY SPECIFICATION

Weatherproof talkback units (Multicom model _____) shall be placed in the following areas of the vessel:

3. 8.
4. 9.
5. 10.

These talkback areas shall have 6 pair, 18 or 20 gauge cable home run from the location to the CT10 controller on the bridge. Each location requires a separate run.

One way speakers (Multicom model _____) shall be installed in the following locations for general announcements. These areas shall have single pair 16 or 18 gauge cable from the CT10 controller on the bridge to the first speaker on port and the first speaker on starboard of each deck (Two separate runs per deck if more than one speaker is installed per deck). Speakers on the port side shall be wired in parallel to the cable feeding that side of the vessel, and all starboard speakers on that deck wired in parallel to the cable feeding the starboard side of that deck.

BASIC UNIT WITH ADDITIONAL AMPLIFIER SPECIFICATION

All manned interior spaces, corridors and cabins shall have overhead speakers installed. Speakers shall be appropriate for the overhead in form, fit, style and color. Interior speakers shall be Multicom Model __________:

Each interior deck shall have at least two feed lines from the main console in or adjacent to the pilot house. One line shall transverse port route while the other shall transverse a starboard route. Cabling shall be adequate in size and type for both applicable inspecting agencies approval as well as appropriate for carrying the proper voltage to the speakers with minimum loss.

All external weather deck areas shall have weatherproof speakers installed. Speakers shall be appropriate for the mounting area in form, fit, style and color. External speakers shall be Multicom (insert style and type here)

Each exterior deck shall have at least two feed lines from the main console in or adjacent to the pilot house. One line shall transverse port route while the other shall transverse a starboard route. Cabling shall be adequate in size and type for both applicable inspecting agencies approval as well as appropriate for carrying the proper voltage to the speakers with minimum loss. Cabling (may/should) be installed internally to the exterior bulkhead with the proper watertight fittings and termination boxes used at all speaker locations. Great care shall be taken to hide or eliminate from view any and all external cabling whenever possible.

Two way hands free talkback stations and alert buttons shall be provided at the following locations:

OPTIONAL GENERAL ALARM

The system shall be a Multicom CT10 with integrated General Alarm. The system shall be configured to meet or exceed the regulatory inspecting body for the vessel.
